I have decided

I am taking on another way to define failure and discouragement (in any form), because I won't take either as an answer from now on. They are really both constructive criticism and ways to reach new growth without going down the path you have already taken. I'll instead look at the situation as to what I can do differently next time, and savor the sweet success when it happens. Dare I say setbacks in life are blessings????!! I think I will.

Have a great weekend :)

For serious, the last post on this :)

We are completely addicted to Lost. It's always "one more, one more". How did we miss this???!!! Now when we somehow have a connection to anyone in a weird way, it's a "Lost" moment. I'm sure it'll pass, but right now we're just really into it :) I love Jack's character (not who he plays-character, but his personality-character), but Sawyer tugs at my heart strings, and right now he is my favorite. Yeah- he is also easy to look at :) :) :)

On another note, the library had a book sale this weekend. Today at noon I scored two big bags of books for only $2.00! I found lots of good stuff, including Redeeming Love (thanks AC for letting me read it the first go round), and also The Scarlet Thread by Francine Rivers. I love finding treasures when I'm not expecting it!

Busy, busy...

TJ turned 3 on Saturday. He said "Turning my new number is great. I love being 3!". We had so much fun: family and friends, a Spiderman birthday (the boy even wore his Spiderman costume LOL), homemade cupcakes, and of course lots of presents. Lastly, we went out to eat at El Chico's for dinner (another story in itself). GREAT GREAT DAY!

Watching Lost. So Boone died, Locke is Father Wisdom in a fruitcake mind, and will he ever get into the hatch??!!!! We cannot get enough, seriously- we watched SIX HOURS yesterday alone! Can't wait to watch the rest (I can't watch any of the new episodes until I've watched them all)

Took the boy to the doctor. We had a big scare this morning, but all is well now! Now I am relaxing with my coffee and scrapbooking. I start a new Bible study in the morning, so I'm super excited. Looking forward to a new week with lots of fun plans!!

TOO FUNNY!!!!

If you haven't seen the Tom Cruise video, watch this (if you understand it, more power to you....) I made it a couple of minutes before I almost fell asleep.

I did it!

I love the feeling of doing something I've really wanted to do, even something small. Well I'll never be a digital scrapper, I'm too addicted to supplies and way too into texture for the computer. But I've wanted to play around. So here is my first true digital page. A lot harder than I thought, I'll tell ya :) Still fun, though!!

All grown up :(

My baby boy will be 3 on Saturday! As he calls it "he's getting a new number", and he couldn't be happier (mommy has a different opinion though). He's come such a long way, I can't believe how fast it has gone by. Sniff :(

Anyway, here are some pictures of how fast time has gone by (I'm posting a bit early but we are super busy this week).

I gave in...

...and watched Lost. I'm into the 6th episode Season 1, and completely hooked!! Everyone was right, and I'm so full of questions. I'm on the edge of my seat just waiting to find out what happens.

Can't believe I waited so long....

The little things

I have been taking pictures for awhile now (since the kids were born) of "the little things". Pictures of just stuff around our house, our life. I just want my kids to know I love all of the little things that make up their personalities, the things they love, what makes them happy, what doesn't. I want them to know I love all of the little things about them, not just them sitting in front of a camera looking pretty. I want them to know I *really* know them, and I love the moments while we are in them. So here are a couple of pictures of the "little things" in our life.

Lex loves her apples "shined up" before she eats them :)

When Lex was 2, she wanted to draw. So she took a green sharpie, and a black crayon to the inside of our armoir. (she climbed on the desk to get them LOL)

Many months ago, TJ wanted to "help me" scrapbook, and proceeded to dump ALL of my eyelets, brads, REALLY little embellishments out. It took 3 days to organize it again, but he had fun.

After TJ's second hospitalization for a week and a half, there was nothing more I looked forward to than a big Javalanche from Children's coffee shop on the way home.
